Pragmaʼs Partner, the Head of the GR Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA), Alyona Shulima, participated in a closed meeting with Denys Maslov, the Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy, which took place on the 1st of October within the framework of the Ukrainian Bar Association.

The meeting was focussed on the challenges Ukraine faces on its path to the EU in terms of legal reforms, the priorities of the Legal Policy Committee, and ways of cooperation between the Committee and the legal community.

Alyona Shulima, Ph.D., is a member of the working group on the legislative regulation of lobbying activities, established under the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy. Throughout this year, the working group has been actively working on the Law of Ukraine “On Lobbying,” adopted by the Parliament on February 23, 2024, and is currently focused on improving several of its provisions.
